Where oh where to put the microwave?

In making plans for the kitchen, the microwave has been located all over the kitchen at different times. About the only place it hasn't been in the planning, is above the cooktop. It has been located on either side of the cooktop. When we finished with the architect, it was located above the dishwasher. Our contractor thought that was an odd location. Then it was decided to move it to the island. Now the island is not going to be very wide and this microwave, convection oven, warming drawer thing that I have picked out, would not fit on the end of the island. So the contractor put it on the side of the island, which I wasn't crazy about. I consulted my friends Jane and Lisa who are visiting from Iowa. When I went to bed last night, I still wanted it on the end. This morning, I am fine with it on the side of the island. Guess I just needed to sleep on it!
